how to host a vision boarding night

vision boarding! it’s truly our favorite pastime :) we have countless vision boards from years past and it’s so rewarding to look back at them and compare our goals from the past to what has come true and what we dream of now. it’s a fun way to see your own growth over the years. our favorite time to vision (is all the time, duh) but we especially love vision boarding in the new year and on your birthday (your own personal new year). what’s fun is it’s totally up to you, you can vision board for your year, for the next five years, for the next quarter (3 months) of your life, whatever you choose! or make multiple! one of each!

what you’ll need ::

magazines (you can supply some but also have people BYOM to share if you need)

scissors

glue sticks

poster boards

snacks :: veggies + hummus, mozzarella + tomato + basil, a big salad, whatever!

drinks :: water, tea, sparkling water, wine, whatever!

set up your space to be welcoming and cozy. light some candles, get some music going, and make sure everyone has enough space to do their thing! supply some drink options (sparkling water, wine, mocktail, etc) and some snacks (this is totally up to you! you could keep it simple and do a veggie platter and hummus or whatever you’d like!) give everyone their own supplies (scissors, glue stick, poster board, and magazines) and give a little information behind the importance of vision boarding—manifesting, visualization, etc.

here’s a quick example of what you can say: the idea is to go into it understanding what you’re hoping this year will bring you, but don’t be too specific about what you want—allow the images and words to speak to you and be creative with your board. flip through the magazine and rip or cut out whatever is calling to you. once you have all your pieces, lay them out on your board how you want them to look in the final production. after that you’ll glue accordingly and watch your vision board come to life.

my favorite part? once everyone’s put their vision boards together, share them with each other and watch as each person’s personality and creativity comes through their board.
